Legacy, Wealth Planning, Trusts & Estates
The firm’s Legacy, Wealth Planning, Trusts & Estates practice group is tailored to the special needs of both the domestic and international client and family group. With a sensitivity to local and foreign substantive law as well as applicable state, federal, and foreign tax laws and treaties, our lawyers represent individuals and families domestically and internationally regarding the management, taxation, preservation and transfer of wealth, including the management and disposition of corporate properties. We also advise fiduciaries in matters concerning the administration of trusts and estates. We frequently work with lawyers and accountants in other states and foreign jurisdictions as necessary to properly protect our clients’ interests. Our services range from traditional aspects of personal estate planning including the preparation of simple wills, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts, family partnerships, and minor’s trusts among others to estate, trust and guardianship administration, including the representation of both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested probate and trust matters, as well as capital preservation, succession planning for business interests, and legacy dispositions. We also advise clients on sensitive family matters including personal criminal representation, dependency, and judicial and non-judicial drug and mental health interventions.
