Miguel R. Lara, Esq.

Miguel R. Lara is an associate with the firm’s litigation group.  Mr. Lara’s practice is devoted to the prosecution and defense of a wide array of complex civil litigation matters in both state and federal court on behalf of several local and international clients.  He also represents clients in select personal injury, family and divorce matters. Mr. Lara is admitted to practice law in Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.   
 
Mr. Lara received his law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. While in law school, he was praised for his work on immigration matters with indigent clients in the Denver area.  Mr. Lara received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University where he was awarded a full tuition scholarship by FIU for academic excellence.
 
Mr. Lara is a member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association and Dade County Bar Association.  Mr. Lara also served as a member on the 2008 Bids for Kids Committee which organizes an annual charity event hosted by the Dade County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section to benefit several local children’s charities.
 
Mr. Lara was born in Miami, Florida, and is fluent in Spanish.
