Jorge M. Vigil, Esq., Principal of Coral Gables Based Law Firm Rasco, Reininger, Perez, Esquenazi & Vigil Appointed to City of Doral’s Police Advisory Board

Jorge M. Vigil, Esq., partner of the Law Firm Rasco, Reininger, Perez, Esquienazi & Vigil (the firm), was recently sworn in as a board member of the City of Doral’s Police Advisory Board.

“I’m very happy to help out in anyway with the City of Doral. Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, whom I’ve known for many years, is doing a fantastic job and has changed the city from starting as just an outpost in western Miami-Dade into a real, thriving community.” Mr. Vigil has lived in the City of Doral since 1999.

The purpose of the advisory board is to facilitate communication, and function as a liaison, between the Police Department and the Doral community. The advisory board conducts public hearings to solicit public input regarding police services and programs as well as educate the community concerning the function and goal of the Police Department. The advisory board is also responsible for submitting an annual report to the Mayor, City Manager and City Council regarding its activities.

In 2006, Mr. Vigil was appointed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush to the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, which he currently serves. He was also a board member with the Latin Builders Association and South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. 

Mr. Vigil practices in the area of complex real estate transactions, partnerships and joint ventures as well as domestic and international banking transactions. As a real estate attorney, Mr. Vigil represents real estate developers and investors in real estate acquisitions and transactions. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and received his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law.
