Alfonso J. Perez, Esq. Partner of Law Firm Rasco, Reininger, Perez, Esquenazi & Vigil Named to the City of Coral Gables Emergency Management Board

Alfonso J. Perez, Esq., a principal of the Coral Gables based Law Firm Rasco, Reininger, Perez, Esquienazi & Vigil (the firm), was recently appointed to the Emergency Management Board for the City of Coral Gables.

The function of the Emergency Management Board is to provide for the continuity of executive functions for the governing of the City of Coral Gables in the event of the unavailability of the city's elected leaders. In the event of a man-made or natural disaster, the board shall provide services to the residents of Coral Gables under supervision of the City Manager's Office. Members are also required to undergo training by the Emergency Management Director.

Mr. Perez, who represents clients throughout the United States and Latin America, specializes in international and business law and has experience representing clients in both the trial and appellate process. Mr. Perez received his B.B.A. in accounting and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami. He is a member of The Florida Bar since 1976 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Perez also served in the Coral Gables Code Enforcement Board from 1987-89 and the Coral Gables Planning and Zoning Board from 1989-1994. He was also the co-recipient of the 1996 Voluntary Bar Association Pro Bono Service Award given by The Florida Bar for work involving the refugees of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
