Rasco Klock has long been a proud part of the Miami community. In addition to providing top-notch legal services to our clients, we take a personal interest in local issues and charitable causes. That is why we were pleased to participate in the inaugural Zo’s Hoop-Law Madness Charity Basketball Tournament, which raised funds in support of educational initiatives for inner city youth.
Taking place March 21, 2015 at the Overtown Youth Center (OYC), the family friendly event was hosted by NBA Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning and involved over 30 teams representing law firms across South Florida. As the first annual event of its kind, the Basketball Fundraiser garnered local media attention, including from WSVN.
By the end of the competition, more than $50,000 was raised to help fund after school programs and various other educational programs for Miami youth. The festive event included food, drink, live music, vendors, and even a half-time show. It was an excellent experience to join other members of the community to help our own local citizens.
